A NEW CONCEPT IN COMPANIES
AGRICONSA is a
completely new concept within the Canned Fruit & Vegetable and Citrus
Juice Manufacturing sectors of the food industry.
It is born from
the spirit of cooperation and striving for improvement involving more
than 100.000 growers associated in cooperatives which, for a long time
now, have been supplying top quality produce from the fields to the most
important national and international markets.
In AGRICONSA we
are in touch with the countryside, developing new crop systems and new
varieties, following the development of each harvest, selecting the best
fruit and vegetables and picking them just as they reach their best in
order to obtain the highest quality in our canned products. At the same
time, our cooperative organization means we are guaranteed a sufficient
quantity of raw materials to satisfy the needs of our customers.
These special
features mean a new concept in companies and makes AGRICONSA different
from the others in the sector as it allows us to integrate agricultural
productions processes with industrial and marketing ones to the benefit
of our associated farmers and our customers.

NATURAL ADVANTAGES
Surrounded by
fertile orchards, our factory is situated at Algemesí (Valencia) in the
heart of the Valencia Regions, which, due to its soils and climate, has
for many yeas been a traditional producer and exporter of fruit and
vegetables to Europe and other parts of the world.
In this natural
and socio-economic environment AGRICONSA can be found, located at the
centre of an extensive modern road and communications network (the
Mediterranean Arc). 30 km from the Port of Valencia –one with very high
levels of international traffic- and right next to the A7 Motorway,
which links us to the main capitals of Europe.
The
56 associated cooperatives scattered throughout Spain ensure that
AGRICONSA gets the best fruit and vegetables. Our cooperatives in the
Valencia Region and Andalucía own over 50% of the Satsuma mandarin
oranges produced in Spain, excellent for preserving in segments, and
more than 25% of the oranges and other citrics for juice manufacturing.
We also have a continuous supply of artichokes throughout the season,
beginning with the cooperatives in Alicante, followed by those in
Valencia and Castellón, and ending with those in Navarra. Likewise our
associates in Lérida and Navarra guarantee us the best peaches and pears
from their regions. Finally, the cooperatives in Huelva with their
strawberries complete the wide range of agricultural produce which, once
obtain from our growers, is transformed in our factory.
Taken as a whole
this infrastructure, its privileged geographical position, its nearness
to its markets and, above all, the integration of resources and
production capacities of its associated cooperatives, give AGRICONSA a
natural advantage and important by making it the only company in the
sector with these particular features.

CONTROLLED QUALITY FROM START TO
FINISH
AGRICONSA
has one of the most modern and sophisticated food-canning and juice
factories and uses the most advanced technology.
In AGRICONSA we
are aware that the quality of the products is essential for the
satisfying a market which is becoming more and more demanding. But on
top of this, the concept of quality is applied to each and every aspect
of our organization, not only towards customers but also from within:
investments, new planning, production process, commercial relations,
distribution, transport, communications with those around us, health and
safety at work and environmental protection. This is our commitment:
Total Quality.
AGRICONSA
researches, defines and checks what is required from the raw materials
and the production process so as to guarantee the quality of our canned
goods. The process begins with the work of the Field Supervisors who
keep a check on the development of the crops and, along with the
cooperatives, coordinate the harvest and delivery of the raw materials
in accordance with internal quality regulations. It continues in our
factory, where a number of checks are constantly being carried out
during the manufacturing process, before the analysis of the finished
product. In this way, and in accordance with accepted international
regulations, we can offer our customers the best quality.

PEOPLE FOR A COMPANY
Our
greatest assets are the men and women who, by their efforts and
dedication day after day, help make AGRICONSA a great company.
They are the men and women associated in our cooperatives who, with
their work and commitment, give themselves the task of obtaining the
best fruits from the earth. They are almost 600 employees who
distinguish themselves by the way they carry out their work and by the
daily improvement of their duties. They are also the qualified
professional staff in charge of coordinating the different areas of the
company: production, research and quality control, marketing and
administration.
AGRICONSA
is a young and dynamic company which believes in its staff, in its plans
for the future, and in its capacity to take on new projects. A feature

OUR
PARTNERS: THE CUSTOMERS
OUR AIM: TO OFFER SERVICE AND QUALITY
The
success of AGRICONSA is, without any doubt, the success of its
customers. For this reason we direct all our efforts towards satisfying
their needs, always offering them the quality and service they look for
and demand.
For this reason, in AGRICONSA we are in permanent contact with them,
making numerous business trips and visiting them personally. We also
take part in the main international foods fairs (Anuga, Sial,
Alimentaria, Ife, Fancy Foods, Foodex…) so that at any moment we can
adapt ourselves to their needs and to market trends.
Our view of the future leads us to establish long-term and stable
relations of confidence and mutual collaboration. Our greatest concern
is to try to make them feel satisfied and integrated within the project
of bringing together agricultural production, industrial transformation
and distribution, so that the products arrive directly from the field
into hands of the consumer.
